There has been absolutely no benefit in terms of pain relief, and I am supposed to keep taking the other 51 tablets every two hours until there is either pain relief or diarrhea and then switch to 2 per day for two weeks. That would be a total of 60 tablets or 36mg of colchicine. I am now torn between stopping the medicine or continuing on with the prescription as outlined. I have no idea why I wasn't given a different med, as I am not currently diagnosed with any other disorder and have no known allergies to medication. You Doctor XXXX used the word "mechanism"... I think that my metabolism disorder is more intricate then mechanism in GOUT OR URIC ACID remember I am your patient, you also have the obligation and moral responsability to proctect my health..... I found it so helpful in researching the treatment of my gout. I am also relieved that in the FIRST chapter you refer to our ancestors to be "swinging from trees". This actually saved me from purchasing the book. I, like the majority of society, believe in Devine Design. While this book may actually been very helpful, it's difficult to take advice from the spiritually blind. To learn so much about the body and it's delicate, miraculous form and function and not recognize you were "fearfully and wonderfully made" is puzzling.
